Pineapple Hospitality Company has selected GrayMatter Networks to support their telephone system needs. The Staypineapple hotel brand uses the Brainbox product as a brand standard PBX system.
Current trends and new 911 capabilities were the main reasons for the PBX switch up within Staypineapple. Staypineapple hotels have prioritized sending 911 dispatchers the most exact emergency location information available should their guests find themselves in need.

We’ve built our own IVRs for guest-facing reservations calls and internal team member helpdesk calls. A guest-facing Wi-Fi troubleshooting voice IVR menu that Staypineapple hotels are launching system-wide is an example of the flexibility a modern PBX like the Brainbox can provide. It integrates with the guest network to heal guest Wi-Fi connectivity in real-time based on user input. It will automatically capture the hotel, and room number information from the guest room phone used to dial it.
“While phones aren’t a selling feature for a hotel room, there’s no reason why we should overlook the PBX as a way to provide better service to both our team members and guests,” said Thomson.
With this upgrade comes other enhancements such as team member voicemails coming in via email with automatic transcription, which is helpful for hotel operations as they find themselves spread thin as we go out of the pandemic.
